JAZZ WIN!!!

Wow! What an incredible game! Some thoughts from the game...the officiating was atrocious, Steve Javie is a real jerk and that's putting it mildly, I could not believe a lot of the calls and they were complete bs and that's without my Jazz colored sunglasses on...it was seriously as hot as it could possibly be in the arena, I was wiping sweat off my face the entire game and Alan is now back to his wedding weight after sweating off about 60 pounds...I thought the game was over with a minute left and we were down 5, we got extremely lucky when they missed crucial free throws in the last minute...my voice was trashed by the 3rd quarter from yelling obscenities at the officials...I saw these Warrior fans leaving the game and proceeded to barage them with a series of taunts that will not be repeated, I really let them have it, it was funny to everyone but them...they gave out these light blue t-shirts for everyone in the lower bowl, Alan said he lost enough weight to fit into it, I didn't wear it because I already was sweating through what I had on, which did not involve my g's, chris...Memo hit some huge shots, AK was unbelievable and even played some point guard, Boozer was a beast down low, D Fish is my new hero, D Will has some serious cajones, and Dee Brown looked like his back got broken when Memo landed on him, I was sick to my stomach when I saw it...overall it was an incredible game, back and forth, very physical, we dominated the boards and were able to overcome 3 boneheads wearing whistles to steal the win. JAZZ RULE AGAIN! This blog is dedicated to Anna and Jenna, and every other Jazz hater out there. EAT IT!

Time for a car wash?

So we're walking out of the Jazz game and Chris says, "Boy, I'm drained." I was too, because it soooo hot in the arena and it was a really exciting game, and was pretty physically and mentally exhausting to watch. So we're driving home and I'm sitting in the back and we're listening to 1320 Kfan's postgame show and Chris started to get eerily quiet, but I didn't think too much of it. Out of the blue, he unrolls his window, so I'm thinking, "Great he farted, but I'm glad I'm in the back where I'm not going to smell it." Then I see his head out the window and see chunks flying past me. He proceeded to lose everything all over I-15 and the side of Alan's Durango, and the wind happened to propel some chunks inside and land on me and Matt. It was gross, and it was all we could do to not hurl ourselves. All I can say is thanks, Alan, for driving like a crazy idiot, and thanks, chris, for getting most of your vomit out the window. Next time, I'm riding shot gun.

Con-grad-ulations

I just wanted to make a post to recognize Brandon's great work in achieving his bachelor's degree in English at the U. He graduated Summa Cum Laude (top 1% of his class). Perhaps he did so well because of his dislike of sports. But it was most likely due to his hard work. Grant and I are so proud! Congratulations Brandon!

Gone fishin'

Now that the Jazz sent Houston packing for the summer, they'll have plenty of time to go fishin'. While they're on their trip, Yao can complain all he wants about how the fish aren't biting (most of it will be done in Chinese and broken English), Van Gundy can grab McGrady's leg and hang on for dear life as he helps him pull in a trophy bass, and McGrady can decide which of his eyes is actually the good one as he looks for the best fishing hole.

A Jazz wallpaper for you

Evidently, my new found fame as a Jazz supporter has reached a new level, as shown from this Jazz wallpaper I downloaded off the Jazz website, www.utahjazz.com. Yes, I am an integral part of the team and one of the main reasons they advanced to the second round starting tomorrow. For your information, I'll be doing an autograph session at Barnes & Noble prior to the game on Monday, no photos please.

CHECK THIS OUT!!!

So I emailed this guy who has a Jazz blog and asked him to get some pictures of me from the upper bowl. Hopefully you can see me a little better this time. After the game, I was covered in sweat and my arms felt like they were going to fall off from all the towel waving and fulfilling my duty as "The Flag Man." By the way, THE GAME WAS AWESOME!! AND CHECK OUT THE JUMBO TRON!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

There has been some confusion over the details of young Jason's missionary homecoming. I just talked to Dad and he wanted me to post Jason's itinerary so as to dispel with future confusion. Friday, May 11: Jason gets to Salt Lake at 6:29 pm (that's 1829 for you military or European types). But security probably won't allow you to see him. Friday, May 11: Jason gets to the Idaho Falls airport at 8:15pm (again, 2015). Sunday, May 27: Jason speaks in church at 1:00pm (1300) in the Sunnydell Ward Meetinghouse. This is a special occasion so remember to wear boots and heavy wool suit coats with patches sowed on the elbows-bolo ties are optional. There will be a small gathering afterward, but we will wait to have grilled hamburgers-we don't want to upset Ard's Memorial day grill fest at Grandma Shirley's. Jason leaves for Michigan shortly thereafter.
