Grant's quest for a tree

So I had just finished hauling back mom and dad's tree (by myself) and I heard some yelling across the meadow. To my suprise, I looked over and Grant was carrying an exhausted Brandon on his back while dragging a tree behind him. I asked him if he needed any help and Grant said, "You're more worthless than my dad." No wonder he never comes to visit me.

A conversation overheard after dinner

Cathie: "So do you know if Jeff is dating anyone?"
Ard: "(expletive) I doubt it. Sometimes I wonder about him."
Grandma: "He seems kind of strange to me."
Jan: "Someday he'll get his act together . . . whoops I think he can hear us . . "

Squirrel in a tree

I returned to my roots last week, and found a perfect tree to nest in. Once I got my nuts packed in my cheeks, I knew I was set for the winter. Wait, that didn't sound too good . . nevermind.

I'm Thankful For . . .

In celebration of his first Thanksgiving, Grant wants to briefly list a few of his favorite things: 1) Mashed Plums, they taste much better than mashed peas and squash. And the bitter taste only makes him shiver part of the time. 2) Sticky, moist hands: due to the amount of time his hands spend in his mouth, his hands provide stickiness essential for moving objects like the computer keyboard closer to his mouth for further investigation. 3) Parent's fingers: it doesn't hurt when he bites them with his sharp, sharp front teeth. Grant is so thankful for these objects that we've secretly nominated them for the "KSLHigh Five Award." Although Grant's still young, we're confident that he'll thoroughly enjoy the complimentary mug and "God's Army" DVD gift bag.

Guitar playin' fool

Dad entertained us after dinner with a tribute to Jeff using the words and music of "You're beautiful" by James Blunt.

Grant already weighs more than Brandon

Here are some shots of Grant's first Thanksgiving! After dinner I looked over and Grant had Brandon in a headlock and was shouting, "Who's your daddy now!"
