Tonight I dined with Grant, and I was amazed at how much he knew about politics, the economy, and the War in Iraq. We argued for a while on the effects of the unemployment rate on the GDP, and he was firm in his stance against women in politics. As I was leaving, I heard him whisper to Brandon, "I can't believe Jeff's a teacher, he doesn't know (expletive)."

Not only was Jeff not familiar enough with geo-politics, but sense of geography was dismal at best. We played with this interactive globe that gave us 45 seconds to find the countries it called out. The globe was encouraging however and Jeff did improve with time. There may still be hope for our nation's education system.
That boy is growing up s'fast and getting s'smart. And that Grant is quite a cutie as well.
At least Grant didn't say "STOP TOUCHING ME!" like Olivia.
